Your child will join a closeknit community of up to 45 secondary students, supported by our caring house parents and dedicated staff. They'll be guided throughout their time here by our brilliant boarding staff, who are available around the clock to provide invaluable support.

Living and studying in our international boarding house builds our students’ confidence and independence, as they get ready to take on the world. We encourage our boarders to develop healthy habits through personalised health and wellbeing support. During supervised study in the evenings, our boarders also take advantage of extra help and tutorials from our academic staff.

With 24-hour security, a communal garden, and an outdoor kitchen, our safe and comfortable boarding facilities offer a welcoming and inspiring environment.

Inside, our students enjoy shared living rooms for socialising and entertainment, balanced with the privacy of their own single room with an ensuite bathroom and air conditioning.

After class, our students head back to the boarding house. They’ll get ready for some supervised study time and extra-curricular activities.

Weekends in our boarding community are full of fun, socialising, and relaxation by the Mediterranean Sea! Boarders embark on exciting weekend trips and activities, where they explore Catalonia and Spain, and engage in cultural events, festivals, and outdoor adventures.

Cultural excursions to museums, art shows, live theatre, parks, the movies, sporting events, and local points of interests ensure every weekend is full of rich opportunities.
Water and beach activities – including sports like sailing, paddleboarding, and kayaking – keep our boarders fit and active, and boost wellbeing.
Other sporting activities, like hiking and cycling, encourage fun and fitness.
Events across Catalonia and Spain open our students’ eyes to incredible local culture.

OUR BOARDING HOUSE TEAM

Our team creates a balanced, fun, and supportive boarding culture at Hamelin-Laie.

Our house parents and staff live in our boarding houses, and get to know each student personally. They're always on hand to provide support – be it emotional, academic, or practical. Parents can easily reach them through an email or phone call, too.
